PHONICS & GRAMMAR

Phonics & Grammar

It involves the children learning the letter sounds, how to form them, how to blend the sounds for

reading and how to segment sounds in words for writing and spelling. By teaching these skills, it will

encourage early independent reading and writing.

The programme then continues by extending the early phonics teaching with further spelling, grammar

and punctuation concepts.
